Visit to the Department, Communication with Staff
Son Byeong-bok, the mayor of Uljin County, visited the Social Welfare Division on the 9th as part of his approval visits to county offices, handling pending approvals and encouraging employees while listening to their difficulties.
Mayor Son, who usually advocates for "servant leadership administration," believes that in order to satisfy external customers, the county residents, it is important to create an organizational culture where employees can work with pride and enthusiasm. He has continuously made efforts to communicate with employees based on this belief.
This approval visit to county offices was arranged to reduce employees' workload and promote efficient work processes. Every week, the mayor personally visits the offices of various departments to approve tasks, receive reports on current issues, listen to employee suggestions (difficulties), and gather ideas for county development.
In particular, this approval visit was conducted in a warm and comfortable atmosphere by sharing lunch with employees to facilitate free communication.
Mayor Son said, "I arranged today’s meeting to have direct conversations with employees and to allow them to report current issues and receive approvals in a more relaxed atmosphere. I hope each employee works with a sense of ownership over their tasks." He added, "I will continue to do my best to create an environment where employees can work happily, invigorate county administration, and build a new hopeful Uljin through harmony."
