'Profane Graffiti Targeting President Moon' on Seoul High Prosecutors' Office Exterior... Man in His 40s Arrested

Arrested on Charges of Damaging Public Property

A man in his 40s who wrote abusive graffiti targeting former President Moon Jae-in and former National Intelligence Service Director Suh Hoon on the outer wall of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office was arrested by the police.

On the 11th, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested Mr. A on the spot on charges of damaging public property and are currently investigating him.


Mr. A is accused of writing abusive phrases such as "Moon Jae-in XXX" and "Suh Hoon XX" with black spray paint on the rear wall of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office building in Seocho-gu at around 1:30 p.m. that day, and throwing a stone at a glass window, causing it to crack.


It is reported that Mr. A claimed at the scene that he was being "surveilled." The police are investigating the specific circumstances of the incident.
