Modetour announced that it has signed an extension contract for a partnership with Air France-KLM to expand the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The SAF program is an eco-friendly initiative that Air France-KLM has been conducting since 2021 with companies and travel agencies worldwide to promote SAF use and reduce carbon emissions. SAF uses eco-friendly raw materials such as waste cooking oil and household waste, reducing carbon emissions by up to 80% compared to conventional fossil fuels. Modetour was the first domestic travel agency to sign a purchase contract in February last year. Under this agreement, Modetour estimates the annual carbon emissions generated during flight operations for its travel products and establishes an annual contribution fund of the desired scale. Air France-KLM will use the contribution to purchase SAF and share performance reports with Modetour. Furthermore, they plan to expand the development of sustainable travel products that include Air France-KLM's SAF blended flights and eco-friendly accommodations.
