Lotte Energy Materials Launches Junior Board... "Building a Flexible Organizational Culture"

Establishment of MZ-Led Communication Channels
Fostering a Communicative Corporate Culture

In its second year since establishment, Lotte Energy Materials has launched a junior board, a communication channel led by the MZ generation (born from the early 1980s to the early 2000s), and officially started its activities.

On the 11th, Lotte Energy Materials announced that it carried out the first campaign of the junior board "High-Five" at its Seoul office, called the "Morning Commute High-Five" activity.

CEO Kim Yeon-seop, Kim Se-yong, Head of the Management Support Division, and junior board members participated in greeting employees on their way to work in the morning and providing energy drinks. This campaign will be conducted sequentially starting from the Seoul office, followed by the Uiwang Research Center and Iksan Plants 1 and 2.

The newly established junior board High-Five is a portmanteau combining the high-five gesture symbolizing support, the company’s core product high-end copper foil, and the five business sites.

Seven members were selected considering diversity in each business site, job function, rank, and gender. This year, the board plans to design and operate various campaigns with the core keyword of ‘organizational culture flexibility.’

High-Five has confirmed the next activity, a themed 'LEM DAY,' and is collecting opinions from employees on the company intranet, planning to devise various organizational culture change activities through this process.

CEO Kim Yeon-seop said, "We expect High-Five to play a significant role in building a healthy and flexible organizational culture through the junior board, which is one of Lotte Group’s major corporate culture activities," adding, "As our company enters its second year, we will strive to actively listen to and reflect the diverse opinions of employees so that we can become a sustainable company."

Last year, Lotte Energy Materials introduced the Lotte Group’s HR system, enabling talents to be recognized for their performance within a systematic framework. The company actively communicates with employees by holding quarterly management briefings for employees in Seoul and Iksan, presenting the company’s status and mid- to long-term plans.
