The KOSPI fell below the 2700 mark due to heavy institutional selling. Individual and foreign investors are supporting the 2670 level by absorbing the supply.
As of 9:30 AM on the 11th, the KOSPI recorded 2671.19, down 33.97 points (1.26%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, foreigners and individuals are net buyers of 175.4 billion KRW and 166.3 billion KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, institutions are net sellers of 340.2 billion KRW.
By sector, all sectors except transportation equipment are declining slightly. In particular, insurance is down 3.96%. Other sectors such as securities, distribution, and telecommunications are down more than 2%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics is trading at 83,100 KRW, down 500 KRW (0.60%) from the previous trading day. Samsung C&T is plunging 4.15%. KB Financial is also down 3.18%. On the other hand, Hyundai Motor and Kia are rising 2.85% and 1.48%, respectively. Except for the slightly rising SK Hynix and Samsung SDI, most of the top market cap stocks are declining.
The KOSDAQ recorded 853.30, down 6.03 points (0.70%).
By investor type, individuals are net buyers of 33.2 billion KRW. Meanwhile, foreigners and institutions are net sellers of 3.6 billion KRW and 24.4 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, paper and wood are up 2.35%. Broadcasting services are rising 1.12%. On the other hand, construction and information devices are down more than 2%. Other sectors such as telecommunications services, metals, distribution, and internet are down more than 1%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, EcoPro BM is trading flat at 236,500 KRW. HLB is up more than 2%, and Dongjin Semichem and Rainbow Robotics are up more than 1%. Meanwhile, Samchundang Pharmaceutical and Shinseong Delta Tech are down more than 4%. Additionally, HPSP is down more than 3%.
