Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 11th that it has launched the first facelift model of the brand's top-tier sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, and has begun vehicle deliveries.
Returning with its first facelift in about three years since its launch in 2021, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS offers exterior colors including two-tone paint and features newly designed seat covers that add a sense of luxury to the interior.
Additionally, the vehicle has been upgraded with a focus on rear-seat passenger comfort, emphasizing Maybach's unique differentiation with exclusive modes such as the 'Maybach Driving Program' and the E-Active Body Control suspension.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC is equipped with a 4-liter V8 M177 gasoline engine. This engine delivers a maximum output of 557 horsepower (ps) and a peak torque of 78.5 kgf·m. It includes an integrated starter generator and a 48V electrical system, which provides an additional 16 kW of power when needed.
In Korea, the lineup consists of two models: the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC and the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC Manufaktur, which features special exterior colors and interior trims. The prices are 279 million KRW for the GLS 600 4MATIC and 319 million KRW for the GLS 600 4MATIC Manufaktur.
