Mirae Asset Global Investments' Pension Companion Fund Series Surpasses Total Net Assets of 50 Billion KRW

Mirae Asset Global Investments announced on the 11th that the total net assets of the three funds in the Pension Companion Fund series have surpassed 50 billion KRW.

As of the closing price on the 9th, the total net assets of the three funds in the Mirae Asset Pension Companion Fund series stand at 53 billion KRW. Rapid capital inflow since the beginning of the year has doubled the net assets compared to the end of 2023 (26.5 billion KRW).

The Mirae Asset Pension Companion Fund series is a global asset allocation product that diversifies investments across stocks, bonds, and commodities. It is suitable for pension investors seeking to diversify risk and pursue stable returns through long-term investment.

The series consists of three types: ‘Stable’, ‘Neutral’, and ‘Growth’, each with different proportions of risk assets (stocks) and safe assets (bonds), allowing investors to choose products according to their preferences. The Stable type invests less than 40% in stocks and stock-related collective investment securities, while the Growth type actively pursues returns through more flexible asset allocation.

The Mirae Asset Pension Companion Fund series employs a ‘Core-Satellite Strategy’. This strategy focuses on investing in funds with strong long-term performance to achieve stable results, while also investing in various domestic and international ETFs to respond to rapidly changing market conditions. The portfolio is regularly adjusted considering the advisory from Mirae Asset Securities and the asset allocation plan of Mirae Asset Global Investments.

In terms of returns, the series has also recorded excellent performance. For example, the ‘Mirae Asset Pension Companion Growth Mixed Asset Investment Trust (Fund of Funds)’ achieved a year-to-date return of 7.34% as of the closing price on the 9th.

The Mirae Asset Pension Companion Fund series is available through Mirae Asset Securities pension savings accounts and retirement pensions. For retirement pensions, it is included as a default option mixed fund (BF, Balanced Fund) and is partially incorporated into the default option portfolios of defined contribution (DC) and individual retirement pension (IRP) plans.

Son Su-jin, Head of WM Pension Marketing Division at Mirae Asset Global Investments, said, “It is difficult for pension investors to directly allocate assets and invest considering changes in the financial market,” adding, “We will strive to contribute to the formation of customers’ pension assets through the Mirae Asset Pension Companion Fund series.”
