Cloud Industry Association Appoints Choi Ji-woong, KT Cloud CEO, as New Chairman

The Korea Cloud Industry Association announced on the 11th that it has officially appointed Choi Ji-woong, CEO of KT Cloud, as the new chairman through the 18th extraordinary general meeting.

Chairman Choi is a technical expert in the fields of cloud and open source. He expressed his ambition, stating, "I will strive to establish a close cooperative system that allows broad discussions with the government on various policy tasks by presenting the vision of the cloud."

He is determined to create various foundations that can provide direct and indirect support to the industry for revitalizing the cloud industry, expanding the market, and supporting global advancement.

The association plans to focus on supporting the business capabilities of the cloud industry centered on Chairman Choi and preparing policy support measures. It will continue to pursue strategies such as ▲industrial development through improvement of cloud policy systems and foundation establishment ▲industry revitalization through strengthening cloud competitiveness and spreading awareness ▲strengthening member support services and cooperation systems.
