He continued, “I believe the results of this general election represent the citizens’ ‘death sentence’ to the People Power Party and a ‘last chance’ given to the Democratic Party,” and promised, “I will stand at the forefront so that the Democratic Party can fight stronger and properly. I will start by doing better myself so that the citizens of Gwangju will not have any reason to distrust me.”
He also emphasized, “I will firmly fight against Yoon Seok-yeol’s prosecutorial dictatorship to strengthen my political standing within the party, and based on the political weight I secure, I will bring the rightful share that Gwangju deserves,” adding, “When fighting Yoon Seok-yeol’s prosecutorial dictatorship, I will unite not only the Democratic Party but the entire opposition.”
Furthermore, he said, “When it comes to securing Gwangju’s share within the Democratic Party, I will share information and provide mutual support with fellow lawmakers from Gwangju,” and added, “I will enhance the efficiency of Gwangju politics so that citizens can tangibly feel the effectiveness of politics through my legislative activities.”
