Yang said, “I will definitely restore the regressed democracy, create a fair society, a greater Gwangju, and a just country,” adding, “I will humbly accept severe criticism and do my best so that the Democratic Party can regain the trust of the people and receive even more love from the public.”

He continued, “Over the past two years, I have traveled around the region, met many people, and listened to various opinions,” promising, “I will remember the many demands and tasks you long for and work hard in the National Assembly to keep my promises to you.”

Furthermore, he added, “I will transform from Lee Jae-myung’s bodyguard to the bodyguard of Seo-gu,” and “I will definitely open a new future for a country that the people desire and for Seo-gu, Gwangju.”
