Daegu Dalseo-gu (District Mayor Lee Tae-hoon) will hold the "2024 Middle-aged Employment Fair" on the 17th from 2 PM to 4 PM at the 2nd floor auditorium of the Dalseo-gu Office.
This employment fair is aimed at job seekers aged 40 and above, providing the latest employment information and addressing the manpower shortage of local employers. It is jointly hosted by Daegu Dalseo-gu, Daegu Western Employment Welfare Plus Center, and Daegu Seongseo Industrial Complex Management Corporation.
On the day of the event, about 20 local small and medium-sized enterprises will participate to recruit middle-aged job seekers hoping for jobs in various fields such as production sites, logistics, security, and caregiving through on-site interviews. Job seekers who wish to have on-site interviews must bring their resumes to participate.
Various side events are also prepared, including job counseling, resume consulting, free ID photo shooting, employment tarot, and national pension consultation.
Daegu Dalseo-gu has regularly held employment fairs since 2010. Through monthly job matching days linked with the Seongseo Industrial Complex Management Corporation, it continuously contributes to resolving job shortages and revitalizing the local economy.
This year, starting with the middle-aged employment fair, two more customized employment fairs for people with disabilities will be held in September and November, providing practical participation from hiring companies and on-site job information considering the characteristics of job seekers.
Lee Tae-hoon, Mayor of Dalseo-gu, said, “This employment fair is expected to open a door for a new leap for middle-aged job seekers and provide companies with an opportunity to hire talented and needed personnel,” adding, “We will continue to provide an open meeting place connecting people in need of jobs and companies seeking talent.”
