The Democratic Party of Korea held its final campaign rally in Yongsan-gu, where the presidential office is located, on the last day of the election campaign. The Democratic Party also held the launch ceremony of the election countermeasures committee here on the first day of the campaign. By starting and ending the campaign in Yongsan-gu, they appear to be reiterating the 'regime judgment theory.'

Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, joined the 'Regime Judgment and People's Victory All-Out Rally' after finishing his trial on the afternoon of the 9th and moving to Yongsan Station Plaza in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. He explained, "The reason we start and finish in Yongsan-gu is to show the Democratic Party's determination to hold the regime accountable that neglected the lives and safety of the people, including the Itaewon tragedy." He continued, "Please make sure to hold them accountable this time so that such a tragedy never happens again. Even if legal responsibility is set aside, shouldn't they at least bear ethical, moral, and political responsibility now?" he emphasized.

After emphasizing life and safety, Lee mentioned the 'economy' issue. He said, "Solving the problem of making a living is just as important as protecting life and safety," and claimed, "(The government) messed up diplomacy, creating hostile countries, which worsened the export environment for companies." He added, "Peace is economy, and security is food," and said, "The peaceful Korean Peninsula has become a country where a war tomorrow would not be surprising due to military demonstrations and lack of dialogue." He further added, "Who would invest in the Korean Peninsula with a risk of war?"

Kang Tae-woong, candidate for Yongsan-gu, Seoul, said that day, "Yongsan-gu is often called the 'number one place for new politics,' but in this general election, Yongsan is the 'number one place for regime judgment.'" He criticized, "The presidential office moved to Yongsan-gu, disrupting the daily lives of Yongsan residents," adding, "Traffic congestion has worsened, and while freedom of assembly and protest must be guaranteed, they are happening near residential areas." He also said, "Moreover, the Itaewon tragedy occurred in Yongsan-gu," and "It was a safety accident caused by administrative incompetence."

At the rally site that day, Jung Won-cheol, president of the Marine Corps Reserve Regiment, and Kim Kyu-hyun, a lawyer and former Marine, spoke from the campaign vehicle. They raised voices criticizing the Yoon Seok-yeol government by highlighting suspicions of external pressure on the investigation of the Marine Corps personnel death case. President Jung said, "After the general election, the special investigation law on the Marine Corps personnel death case will be discussed again in the National Assembly, but (the Yoon government) will exercise a veto again," adding, "We could not bear to see that, so we are here." Lawyer Kim said, "Let's all speak out against the atrocious Yoon regime," and "Let's say that we are Colonel Park Jeong-hoon, the disobedient Marines, and that we are the owners of this country."
