Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is operating a special lecture series to address complex economic crises and consider the future economy of the region.
The first lecture, held on the 12th at Yunsangwon Hall on the 7th floor of the Gwangsan-gu Office, will be delivered by Park Ji-seop, head of the Planning and Finance Team at the Bank of Korea Gwangju-Jeonnam Headquarters, who has over 20 years of experience in the real economy field.
Under the theme "Gwangju Regional Economic Trends and Global Economic Flows," the lecture will examine the current economic status of Gwangju by sector, including industrial production, consumption status, construction and investment, business sentiment, consumer prices, and financial delinquency rates. It will also discuss the overall domestic economy as well as global economic trends and the economic conditions of major countries.
Following this, on the 25th, Ha Sang-yong, director of the Gwangju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, will give the second special lecture titled "Self-Employment in Crisis," and the final expert lecture on May 13 will cover "Economic Outlook for 2024 and Our Strategy."
