The KOSPI surrendered all its early gains and turned negative.
As of 11:02 AM on the 9th, the KOSPI is trading at 2717.55, down 0.17 points (0.01%) from the previous day. The KOSPI opened at 2733.23, up 0.57% (15.58 points) from the previous trading day, reached an early high of 2741.23, but has been declining steadily since. Ultimately, it gave up all its gains and turned negative.
By investor type, individuals sold 138.9 billion KRW. Foreigners and institutions bought 31.8 billion KRW and 108.5 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, machinery (1.20%), transportation equipment (0.80%), non-metallic minerals (0.41%), construction (0.39%), insurance (0.43%), steel and metals (0.37%), food and beverages (0.27%), securities (0.06%), and distribution (0.08%) are rising. All other sectors are declining. Medical precision (-1.00%), pharmaceuticals (-0.55%), and telecommunications (-0.51%) are experiencing significant drops.
403 stocks are rising, 444 are falling, and 74 are unchanged. Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics, which touched 86,000 KRW intraday for the first time in three years yesterday, is down 0.7%. SK Hynix (0.9%), LG Energy Solution (1.0%), and Kia (0.9%) are on the rise. The rest of the top 10 by market cap are all declining.
The KOSDAQ index is trading at 858.36, down 2.21 points (0.26%).
By investor type, individuals bought 55.7 billion KRW. In contrast, foreigners and institutions sold 37.6 billion KRW and 17.5 billion KRW, respectively.
607 stocks are rising, 885 are falling, and 142 are unchanged. Among the top market cap stocks, only Alteogen (5.3%), Enchem (1.5%), Rainbow Robotics (1.8%), and EO Technics (1.6%) are rising; the rest are declining. Solbrain (-3.8%), ISC (-3.2%), and Wonik IPS (-4.9%) are experiencing declines exceeding 3%.
