"Son, Please Make a Hospital Appointment" Tokdok Expands Proxy Reception to Parents

Vibros announced on the 9th that it has added a proxy registration feature to its hospital appointment application, Ddokdak, to facilitate convenient medical appointments for elderly people who are relatively vulnerable to digital services.

Previously, proxy registration was only possible for minor children under the age of 18 other than oneself. This has been expanded to include parents aged 65 and older, considering the accessibility and convenience for digitally vulnerable groups.

The company explained that this feature improvement is part of the "Ddokdak Made with Users" series and originated from users' requests to allow hospital registration on behalf of parents who are not familiar with digital services. Following free support for economically vulnerable groups and low-income seniors aged 65 and older, this update reflects the increased interest of users in supporting digitally vulnerable groups.

The proxy registration feature for parents is available to anyone with a Ddokdak membership account, and can be used immediately by registering elderly family members aged 65 or older on Ddokdak. Elderly individuals can visit the hospital alone without being accompanied by family members using the Ddokdak app, allowing children who do not live with them to register on their behalf. This helps reduce the inconvenience of elderly patients having to wait after on-site registration.

Go Seung-yoon, CEO of Vibros, said, "With this improvement, the family scope has been expanded to include not only children but also parents," adding, "We will continue to prioritize resolving on-site inconveniences through communication with users."
