Paratech, a fire safety equipment specialist company, announced on the 9th that it donated 310 design fire extinguishers to the Korean Red Cross. The fire extinguisher handover ceremony was attended by Kang Hyung-joo, Head of Manufacturing at Paratech, and Kim In-sook, Chairperson of the Seosan District Council of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Society, among others.
Based in Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do, Paratech decided on this donation to contribute to the joint development of the local community based on its corporate philosophy of "a company that contributes to society by protecting lives and property." The fire extinguishers donated by Paratech will be delivered to elderly people in vulnerable groups in Seosan City.
A Paratech representative said, "We engaged in social contribution activities to practice our corporate philosophy, and we are pleased to be able to help elderly people in vulnerable groups with our technology and products," adding, "We will continue to actively participate in activities that contribute to the local community."
In 2022, Paratech also donated 3,000 design fire extinguishers to Seosan City Hall. Then, in early last year, together with affiliates within the Hurim Group, it delivered earthquake relief funds to the Korean Red Cross for the Turkey earthquake, continuing various social contribution activities.
Meanwhile, last month, Paratech obtained certification from the Korea Fire Institute (KFI) for its 'in-rack type sprinkler' product suitable for logistics warehouses. Since strengthened fire safety standards for logistics warehouse facilities will be applied starting this year, Paratech's performance is expected to increase due to the expanded demand for fire safety equipment. Paratech plans to diversify its product portfolio suitable for logistics warehouses in addition to sprinklers.
