The Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI, President Kim Jae-su) announced on the 9th that it will hold the 2024 Korea High-Performance Computing Forum Annual General Meeting and Technology Exchange on the 11th at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Busan.
The Korea High-Performance Computing Forum was established in December 2022 with the participation of various experts from industry, academia, research institutes, and government in the field of high-performance computing to discuss the present and future of domestic high-performance computing, share information, exchange technologies, and discover cooperation agendas, thereby formulating strategies for the development of the high-performance computing ecosystem.
Kwack Ho-sang, president of Kumoh National Institute of Technology and co-chair of the forum, stated, “This will be a great platform for advanced researchers from various fields to understand each other’s disciplines and, through convergent thinking centered on high-performance computing, for experts from industry, academia, and research institutes to jointly identify challenges and seek solutions through information exchange.”
KISTI President Kim Jae-su said, “In the era of digital transformation, high-performance computers are now the foundation for solving national challenges and creating new industries, as well as for the advancement of national science, technology, and industry. We expect that this event will provide opportunities to acquire recent trends related to high-performance computing and gain ideas for utilization.”
