Shopping at Namchang Onggijonggi Traditional Market and Environmental Cleanup Activities at Namchangcheon
The labor and management of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saewool Nuclear Power Plant carried out social contribution activities to commemorate the company's 23rd anniversary.
On the 8th, the labor and management of Saewool Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters held a shopping event at Namchang Onggijongi Traditional Market in Ulju-gun to revitalize the local economy and support local children's centers.
During the shopping event held in collaboration with the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea, daily necessities such as rice, seaweed, and anchovies worth approximately 3.5 million KRW were purchased and delivered to eight children's centers in Ulju-gun.
The daily necessities purchased at the traditional market on this day are used as free food ingredients provided to children attending the Seosaeng, Gwibok, Gwangmin, Kkumjaram, Chakan, Didimdol, Yeollin, and Kkumdongsan local children's centers.
Following the shopping event, an environmental cleanup activity was also carried out to collect scattered trash around Namchang Onggijongi Traditional Market and along the Namchangcheon stream area.
Soyuseop, head of Saewool Headquarters, and Moon Jihoon, chairman, said, “It was especially meaningful to carry out social contribution activities that help revitalize the local economy and support neighbors in need to commemorate the company's founding.” They added, “The labor and management of Saewool Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters will continue to fulfill their social responsibilities and roles by coexisting with the community through ongoing interest and sharing of love.”
