A father's story has been shared, expressing fear that his daughter might see defamatory graffiti saying 'beggar neighborhood' on the wall of the old villa they live in.
On the 8th, a post titled 'Living in a Villa in South Korea' was uploaded to an online community and became a hot topic. The author, Mr. A, who lives in a multi-family villa in Seoul, began by saying, "I currently reside in an old villa, also called a 'red brick house.'"
Mr. A said, "This morning, on my way to work, I saw graffiti written on the inside wall of the stairs, and it made me think a lot throughout the day. It could be paranoia or overinterpretation, or just a nasty prank by a strange person, and I could have ignored it, but I felt angry from Monday morning and ashamed of myself. The life I have worked hard for feels really pathetic."
In the photo Mr. A posted with his story, someone had written graffiti on the villa wall saying 'Coupang OO area.' Below that, there was a defamatory phrase saying 'poor beggar neighborhood.'
Mr. A expressed, "I am scared that my daughter, who just started elementary school, might see this graffiti. If she asks about it, I am afraid and confused about how to explain it to her."
