Chungbuk Regional Nonghyup Employee Unauthorizedly Withdraws 100 Million Won from Customer's Account... "Audit Initiated"

An employee of a local agricultural cooperative in Chungbuk was found to have withdrawn and used customers' money without authorization. The National Agricultural Cooperative Federation is conducting an audit regarding the incident.

According to the Chungbuk headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation on the 8th, employee A of a certain local agricultural cooperative in the province withdrew money multiple times from customers' fixed deposit accounts from October last year to February this year and used it.

The amount embezzled by A is known to be as much as 100 million won.

The local agricultural cooperative discovered this fact during an internal inspection process and requested an audit from the central federation.

A deposited the withdrawn money back earlier this month but has been excluded from work for now.

A Chungbuk headquarters official said, "We are currently verifying the exact scale of the withdrawals," and added, "Once the audit is completed, we plan to file charges against A with the police."
