Additional Recruitment Before Full Implementation of the Second Semester
The number of Neulbom Schools operating in Seoul city will increase from 38 to 150 schools.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 8th that it has designated an additional 112 Neulbom Schools, and starting next month, Neulbom Schools will be operated at a total of 150 schools.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education stated, "To establish a successful foundation for full implementation in the second semester, we have additionally recruited priority schools for Neulbom School implementation," and "we plan to support short-term personnel and temporary teachers outside the quota for the 112 newly designated schools as well. We will also form a pool of programs and instructors to provide to schools.
In addition, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education has diversified the types of Neulbom School programs. They explained that they have developed models such as first-grade customized education programs, care-linked education programs, and community-linked types.
Furthermore, for the first time nationwide, they will jointly implement the '2024 Seoul-style Morning Exercise Activation Project,' a breakfast support program linked with morning exercise, promoting projects that support both morning exercise and breakfast.
The schools newly designated this time were recommended by each education support office based on criteria such as schools with high demand for care waiting, schools with available unused classrooms, schools requiring educational welfare consideration, and schools with a decrease in the number of classes for the 2024 academic year.
