Jogyuil Jinju Mayor Visits Fire Site at Jungang-dong Fruit and Vegetable Market On the morning of the 8th, Jinyang Mayor Jo Gyu-il visited the site of a house fire that occurred at the Jungang-dong fruit and vegetable market.

At around 10:11 a.m. that day, a fire presumed to have been caused by a gas explosion broke out in a residence on the second floor of a commercial building in the Jungang-dong Fruit and Vegetable Market. Thanks to the fire department's prompt firefighting efforts, the fire did not spread, and there were no casualties as no one was residing in the affected residence. However, the gas explosion sound and smoke alarmed nearby merchants, leading to an emergency evacuation.

Upon receiving the fire report, Mayor Jo immediately went to the scene, visited nearby stores to check on the merchants' damage, and encouraged the fire department, volunteer firefighters, and autonomous disaster prevention team members who were cleaning up after extinguishing the fire.

He also held a meeting with the Market Merchants Association, emphasizing the need to "maintain vigilance against large-scale fires in traditional markets and to do our utmost in safety inspections of fire hazard facilities such as electrical, gas, and firefighting equipment."
