Grand Prize 'Team Brothers' Excellence Award 'MCS'
Proving the Excellence of Student Entrepreneurship Competence
Gyeongsang National University demonstrated the excellence of its students' entrepreneurial capabilities by winning the Grand Prize and Excellence Award respectively in the ‘GSAT 2024 G-Startup League (University Division).’
This competition was a startup contest held during GSAT 2024, designed to inspire and support university students with new ideas and technologies leading the Fourth Industrial Revolution era. Participants competed with innovative ideas in various fields such as defense industry, aerospace, drones, artificial intelligence, and blockchain.

The Grand Prize-winning team, ‘Team Brothers’ (led by Bang Yuchan from the Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and three others), presented ‘Tumbung,’ a discount information service for tumbler users, which received high praise from the judges. This item attracted significant attention as it aligns with the trend of pursuing both environmental conservation and economic benefits simultaneously.
Team leader Bang Yuchan said, “We are very pleased that our team’s passion for contributing to environmental conservation through the ‘Tumbung’ project has been recognized. We hope this award will serve as an opportunity for more people to actively participate in environmental protection,” adding, “We will continue to strive to develop services that contribute to creating a sustainable consumption culture.”
The Excellence Award-winning ‘MCS’ team (led by Park Sunghyuk from the Department of Mechanical Convergence Engineering and one other member) developed a mobile charging system and monitoring system for electric vehicles. This system is expected to greatly enhance the convenience of electric vehicle users and contribute to the expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, drawing considerable interest.
A representative from the Gyeongsang National University Startup Support Group stated, “This award is the result of the excellence of Gyeongsang National University’s startup education program combined with the students’ creative ideas,” and added, “We will continue to prepare various programs that provide practical support to students dreaming of entrepreneurship.”
