On the morning of the 8th, Lee Chung-hyung, spokesperson for the People Power Party's Central Election Countermeasures Committee, met with reporters at the central party office in Yeouido, Seoul, and said, "Tomorrow's final rally will be held at Cheonggye Plaza in Cheonggyecheon, with a large number of key election committee members including Han Dong-hoon, the head of the election committee." He added, "We will make a final appeal to the people and deliver a significant message related to the future direction of the People Power Party." He further explained, "Cheonggye Plaza is the center of Seoul, the metropolitan area, and our country. This election can be meaningful as it stands at the center of moving toward the future."
In response to concerns that the party might fall to the constitutional amendment threshold of 200 seats, he emphasized judging the opposition. The spokesperson said, "Kim Jun-hyuk, the Democratic Party candidate for Suwon City, Gyeonggi Province, keeps making new outrageous remarks and slanders every day," and appealed, "Please give the People Power Party at least the power to check legislative dictatorship so that parliamentary democracy is not paralyzed by political forces that always bring up impeachment or immunity whenever they open their mouths."
Regarding the current situation, he expressed a cautious stance. The spokesperson said, "We neither pessimistically nor optimistically await the wise judgment of the voters with a humble attitude," and added, "Chairman Han said the day before that a golden cross is occurring mainly in some battleground areas, but for now, we are viewing it quite conservatively."
Meanwhile, regarding the allegations of concealment of school violence involving Chairman Han's son, he reiterated that they are false. The spokesperson said, "I repeat, this is not true," and added, "The false information is being indirectly raised by the Democratic Party side."
