Yeongam-gun Surpasses 3,000 SMS Notifications for Land Transfer Processing Results

Added 'Instant Notification Service' for Mobile Phones in Mail...Reducing Inconvenience for Landowners

Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do has exceeded 3,000 cases of 'Land Movement Processing Result' text notifications.

According to the county on the 8th, in February last year, Yeongam-gun introduced an innovative policy to reduce inconvenience for landowners by adding a text message service called 'Immediate Notification Service' to the existing postal notification of land movement processing results.

In addition to the existing practice of notifying the results of land division, merger, and category change, a mobile phone multi-message notification service was added to immediately inform civil petitioners of the processing results.

Once the civil petition is processed, not only the registration completion notice but also the land register and cadastral map are sent together as image files via text message. The previous postal notification method took about 2 to 3 weeks to notify the results after receiving the land movement application petition.

Due to this situation, landowners and related petitioners had to endure inconvenience by calling Yeongam-gun or visiting the county office to find out the status before receiving the results by mail.

With Yeongam-gun's service innovation, landowners have reduced the hassle of having to visit administrative agencies again to reissue related cadastral documents after receiving the processing results by mail.

Having completed notifications for 3,000 parcels through the text message service, Yeongam-gun has saved some postal costs and cadastral document issuance fees.

A county official said, “We will continue to improve innovative systems to enhance the quality of cadastral services and do our best to help Yeongam residents easily protect their property rights.”
