On the 8th, SBI Savings Bank announced that it has introduced sign language consultation services to enable hearing- and speech-impaired individuals to use financial services smoothly.

SBI Savings Bank has equipped its customer center with the sign language consultation video phone ‘See Talk’ and assigned specialized sign language consultants. Hearing- and speech-impaired customers can make reservations for this service through the SBI Savings Bank application or website, and then consult on all financial matters via 070 video calls, KakaoTalk FaceTalk video calls, and more.

SBI Savings Bank has continuously strengthened services for financially vulnerable groups. Last year, it introduced services for visually impaired individuals such as braille security cards, voice OTP (one-time password generator), and voice-converted barcode insertion.

Song Hyejin, Head of Financial Consumer Protection at SBI Savings Bank, stated, “We introduced sign language consultation services so that all customers can use the same financial services without communication barriers,” and added, “We will continue to promote services that are easy and convenient for financially vulnerable customers, including the elderly and people with disabilities.”
