Cooperation with Korail Distribution
SK Shieldus announced on the 8th that it will collaborate with KORAIL Distribution to establish a National Safety Convenience Store. Through this agreement, both companies have agreed to join forces to strengthen safety capabilities at major train stations nationwide. In particular, they plan to install ADT Caps' security systems in Storyway convenience stores managed by KORAIL Distribution to create a station environment where railway passengers can use facilities with peace of mind.
SK Shieldus will first introduce ADT Caps' CCTV, emergency bells, and unmanned security services at 10 Storyway locations. Through systematic 24-hour monitoring and rapid dispatch, which are key elements of unmanned security, they aim to quickly detect and respond to abnormal situations occurring in convenience stores within the stations.
In particular, both companies expect this collaboration to contribute not only to individual convenience store locations but also to the overall enhancement of safety capabilities throughout the stations. In the event of a dangerous situation within a station, Storyway convenience stores equipped with ADT Caps security systems are anticipated to serve as safe zones where station users and employees can evacuate.

Additionally, various security programs will be prepared to improve the safety level of KORAIL Distribution employees who have frequent contact with customers. For example, SK Shieldus' professional security team will conduct CPR training to enhance emergency response capabilities.
Joint marketing activities utilizing nationwide station advertising media and convenience store payment terminals (POS) owned by KORAIL Distribution will also be promoted. By broadcasting the content of this collaboration to strengthen safety in commercial facilities within railway stations, both companies plan to highlight their active commitment to responsible management.
Jang Woong-jun, Vice President and Head of Physical Security Business Division at SK Shieldus, stated, “Taking this business agreement as an opportunity, we plan to establish specialized security systems in Storyway convenience stores at major stations nationwide to create a safer station environment.” He added, “We will continue to strengthen close public-private cooperation with KORAIL Distribution so that businesses and users within stations, as well as the public, can use the facilities without worry.”
