SKT Ifland Self-Produced
Asia's three countries collaborate to launch an idol group on SK Telecom's metaverse service, 'ifland.'
On the 8th, SKT announced that ifland has released the first single "Halla" by the multinational metaverse idol group "Triple iz," which it planned, and will hold a global XR showcase.
Triple iz is a unit group formed by selecting three active K-POP idols from Korea, India, and Indonesia, countries with a high user ratio in ifland. To connect global fans through the metaverse, the group consists of three members from three countries: Aria from EXIN (India), Dita from Secret Number (Indonesia), and Easy from iChillin (Korea).
On the 8th, Triple iz will release their first project single "Halla" on 216 global music platforms including iTunes, Spotify, and FLO. "Halla" is a song expressing the journey of exploring a transcendental metaverse space and growing together.
SKT planned Triple iz to fuse metaverse and K-POP and provide growth and participation-oriented services. Since February, users from Indonesia, India, the United States, the Philippines, and other countries have gathered every Thursday in ifland to participate in the entire production process of Triple iz, including fan club names and music concepts.
Triple iz has attracted significant attention, with a total of 130,000 followers on social media even before their official debut.
SKT will also offer various content in ifland by integrating its own metaverse technology, including ▲ XR reality drama "Triple iz: Road To Debut" ▲ XR global fan live ▲ volumetric concerts.
Yang Maeng-seok, head of SKT's Metaverse CO, said, "The metaverse is a space suitable for global users to create K-POP culture without constraints of time and space," adding, "By combining SKT's metaverse and AI technology with K-POP, we will provide a higher level of user experience."
