Carrot Neighborhood Life 'Gonggong Sosik'
Sharing Information of Local Public Institutions
The local community platform Danggeun announced on the 8th that through the neighborhood life ‘Public News’ topic board, it quickly shares various public institution information by region and serves as a communication channel between institutions and neighborhood residents.
The Public News board is characterized by conveniently gathering the latest news from various public institutions such as city halls, district offices, and police stations. Users can grasp useful living information, benefits, and policies posted on the public profiles of the relevant institutions based on their location at a glance, without having to visit individual institution websites or public profiles separately.
Currently, the Public News board is operated in 77 regions including Seocho-gu in Seoul and Dongnae-gu in Busan. As of March this year, 149 public institutions nationwide are delivering news through Danggeun Neighborhood Life. The Public News board is established in regions where news is published on the public profiles of the relevant institutions.
In fact, Seongbuk District Office and Seocho District Office share information and benefits that help local residents’ daily lives through Public News, such as rental information for daily necessities for single-person households and news about performances, exhibitions, and festivals. Daejeon City Hall uses it as an official communication channel to collect residents’ opinions on citizen proposals regarding the attachment of license plates on kickboards, and Sokcho City Hall shares real-time news about access restrictions due to swell waves.
A Danggeun official said, “Danggeun Public News plays a crucial role as a bridge to deliver useful information that public institutions with regional characteristics want to convey to residents within administrative districts more easily and conveniently,” adding, “We expect it to help exchanges between public institutions and local residents and create a more active local communication culture.”
