Yongin City Dispatches Market Development Team to Romania and Poland
Supports Airfare, Interpretation, and Market Feasibility Research
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 8th that a market development team consisting of seven local small and medium-sized enterprises recently achieved a total of 60 export consultations worth $28.73 million (approximately 38.8 billion KRW) in two Eastern European countries, Romania and Poland.

The market development team activities took place from the 31st of last month to the 5th of this month at the Univers Hotel in Romania and the NYX Hotel Warsaw in Poland. The event was attended by city officials, participating companies in the development team, and representatives from the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Southern Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters, which served as the executing agency.
The participating companies in the market development team include ▲ Almaterials (eco-friendly generator high-efficiency motors) ▲ Designcozy (children’s mats) ▲ Korea Spect (heat transfer films) ▲ H&Abiz (radiation devices) ▲ Dooby Computing (data center cooling racks) ▲ Fire Zero (automatic fire extinguishers for small spaces) ▲ E&B Solution (industrial robot control systems).
The companies conducted 45 export consultations worth $15.17 million in Romania and are on the verge of signing 26 contracts worth $2.67 million. In Poland, they held 15 consultations worth $13.56 million and expect to sign 10 contracts worth $710,000, according to the city.
Dooby Computing secured a sample order worth $1.2 million from a Romanian IT company, and Korea Spect received an initial order of $15,000 from a partner of Poland’s top telecommunications company, confirming the potential for market entry, the city added.
For this market development team, Yongin City supported partial airfare, interpretation and translation services, buyer recruitment, market research, vehicle rental, and consultation venue rental.
A city official said, "This Eastern European market development team is significant as it established a foothold not only for the entire European market but also for expanding globally," adding, "We will continue to provide active support so that companies can thrive in the global market."
