Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) will hold a spring commercial district festival from April 13 to May 30 along Yongmaru-gil near the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail (121 stores in the Saechang-ro 14-gil area).

As part of the local brand commercial district development project, the festival aims to promote the influx of surrounding foot traffic and raise awareness of Yongmaru-gil as a local brand.

This spring commercial district festival highlights the geographical conditions and commercial characteristics of Yongmaru-gil. Experiences and events that harmonize with the seasonal atmosphere will welcome spring visitors.

Spring Festival on Saturdays in the 2nd and 3rd weeks of April: 'Yongmaru-gil BomBomBom'

On April 13 and 20, 'Yongmaru-gil BomBomBom' will be held, featuring ▲celebrity lectures ▲Gyeongui Line Forest Trail cherry blossom snapshot photos ▲one-day classes.

The celebrity lectures will take place from 2 PM for an hour and a half in the large auditorium on the 4th floor of the Yongmun-dong Community Center. On the 13th, comedian Kim Young-chul will lead a session titled ‘What is Your Dream?’ On the 20th, YouTuber Joo Eon-gyu (former operator of the Sinsa Imdang channel) will be the lecturer, sharing insights on ‘Reviving Small Businesses Using YouTube.’ Attendees will receive coffee discount coupons usable at 11 Yongmaru-gil stores, allowing them to enjoy spring in Yongmaru-gil. Pre-registration is for 70 people, and 80 spots are available on the day of the event.

An event to take instant photos of pets against the backdrop of cherry blossoms along the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail is also prepared. Photographer Yoo Jae-ryeok, who runs Yoo Jae-ryeok Photo Studio in Yongmaru-gil, will shoot from 4 PM. Printed photos will be framed and distributed starting from the 30th. A total of 6 teams (3 per day) will be recruited. Yoo Jae-ryeok is an internationally renowned photographer who has worked as a royal portrait specialist for the Malaysian royal family for 20 years.

At affordable prices, participants can also experience ▲leather keychain crafting ▲painting ▲cocktail one-day classes. The leather keychain craft allows engraving of English initials. It will be held at Eclat Workshop at 2 PM. The painting class will be held at 4 PM at Yuwol Studio. At 6 PM, Magazine Notes will host a session on how to comfortably enjoy a cocktail bar and easily make cocktails. Each class lasts 2 hours, with a tuition fee of 10,000 KRW per class.
