Gyeonggi-do Recruits Companies for Baby Boomer Internship Participation... 3.6 Million KRW Wage Support Provided

Gyeonggi Province is recruiting companies to participate in the Baby Boomer Internship program.

The Gyeonggi Job Foundation announced on the 8th that it is recruiting companies to participate in the ‘Gyeonggi Province Connection Job Project,’ which provides employment incentives to companies that hire probationary employees (interns) to create stable jobs for Baby Boomers, until the 19th of this month.

The Gyeonggi Connection Job Project is a program that supports internships by connecting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), mid-sized companies, and social enterprises experiencing recruitment difficulties with Baby Boomer workers.

The eligible participants are SMEs, mid-sized companies, and social enterprises with five or more employees located in the province. The final selected companies will be matched with Baby Boomer job seekers (aged 40 to under 65) in the province starting from the 29th of this month and will receive up to 3.6 million KRW in labor cost support (total for 3 months).

Companies wishing to participate must complete and prepare the required documents, including the application form, and submit them through the integrated support system Jobaba Apply (apply.jobaba.net) by the 19th of this month.

Gyeonggi Province will comprehensively evaluate company capabilities, willingness to participate in the project, potential for conversion to regular employment, and working environment, and announce the final selected companies on the Gyeonggi Job Foundation website on the 26th of this month. Up to 700 Baby Boomer workers will be supported through recruitment and matching starting from the 29th of this month for the selected companies.

Last year, through the Connection Job Project, Gyeonggi Province achieved results including matching 267 Baby Boomer workers, converting 203 to regular employment (conversion rate 76.0%), and maintaining employment for 161 workers (employment retention rate 79.3%, as of the end of last year).
