Support from A to Z for Startup Preparation
Recruiting 15 Teams Until the 14th of This Month
Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) is recruiting participants for the 3rd season of the ‘Seocho Golmok Dundeun’ program, which discovers and nurtures prospective entrepreneurs preparing to start their businesses, until the 14th of this month.
The ‘Seocho Golmok Dundeun’ project is a total startup education course by Seocho-gu that supports everything from A to Z in preparing for entrepreneurship. It provides basic skills for startups such as item planning, commercial area analysis, and marketing strategies, along with specialized startup education in 10 fields including labor, taxation, law, and patents. After completing the course, participants can receive professional feedback on their items and business plans from judges through a mock pitching competition.
Any prospective entrepreneur in Seocho-gu with a business item and implementation plan can apply. A total of 15 individuals (teams) will be recruited, and 3 individuals (teams) selected as outstanding prospective alleyway business owners through the competition will receive a small startup activity fund.
Participants in this program will also be given a special opportunity to verify the on-site satisfaction of their items by receiving support for a flea market booth linked to the ‘Yangjae Art Salon,’ an exhibition and sales event held at Yangjaecheon.
In addition, this year, the district has newly renovated the startup cafe at Subway Gyodae Station into a district-run facility called ‘Seocho Startup Station,’ where various projects such as discovering and educating entrepreneurs, startup consulting, networking among entrepreneurs, and hosting pitching competitions are being carried out.
Moreover, various support projects are underway, including ‘Happy Biz to You,’ which provides a small startup fund to new entrepreneurs every month; ‘Seocho Monthly Consulting,’ conducted with experts in 14 different fields; and ‘Seocho Youth Startup University,’ which offers career exploration and mock startup opportunities for young entrepreneurs.
