Opposition, Highest Early Voting Rate in History Confirms Public Judgment on Yoon

The Democratic Party of Korea on the 6th evaluated the early voting rate for the April 10 general election, which exceeded 30% and set a record for the highest early voting rate in history, saying, "It confirmed the angry public sentiment to judge the Yoon Seok-yeol administration as soon as possible."


Kang Seon-woo, spokesperson for the Democratic Party's Central Election Countermeasures Committee, said at a National Assembly briefing, "The great people have shown the power of the sovereign through voting."


Spokesperson Kang said, "Two years after the launch of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, South Korea has regressed in all areas including politics, economy, society, welfare, and culture," adding, "We cannot entrust our lives and future to a shameless administration that cares only about itself, its family, and close associates, ignoring the livelihood of the people."


He continued, "The spirit of this general election is to judge the Yoon Seok-yeol administration," emphasizing, "This general election is the last golden time to save South Korea, which is in a desperate crisis." He also urged, "Those who have not yet voted today, please make sure to cast your precious vote on the official voting day, April 10."

Lee Dong-young, senior spokesperson for the New Future Party, said in a written briefing, "The people have shown their intention to judge the incompetent, arbitrary, ignorant, and arrogant Yoon Seok-yeol administration," adding, "At the same time, they have sent a stern warning to the two major parties that only engage in political strife for the benefit of their camps and parties."


Shin Jang-sik, spokesperson for the Party for National Innovation, said in a comment, "The people have shown a passionate will to punish those who try to dominate above the people through voting," adding, "With one vote, South Korea moves one step closer to democracy."
