4.59%P Increase Ahead of the 21st General Election
Highest in Jeonnam 41.19%, Lowest in Daegu 25.6%
The final early voting rate for the 22nd general election was recorded at 31.28%.
The National Election Commission announced on the 6th that out of a total of 44,280,011 eligible voters, 13,849,043 participated in the early voting held over two days starting from the 5th.
The early voting rate for this general election is 4.59 percentage points higher than that of the 21st general election in 2020 (26.69%). This is the highest rate among all general elections where early voting has been applied.
The region with the highest turnout was Jeonnam (41.19%), followed by Jeonbuk (38.46%), Gwangju (38.00%), and Sejong (36.80%).
The lowest turnout was recorded in Daegu at 25.60%, followed by Jeju (28.50%), Gyeonggi (29.54%), and Busan (29.57%). Seoul recorded 32.63%, and Incheon 30.06%.
