The Democratic Party of Korea stated on the 6th that the early voting rate on the first day of the April 10 general election reached a record high of 15.61%, saying, "The unprecedented enthusiasm for early voting shows the people's desire to judge the Yoon Seok-yeol administration."

Kang Seon-woo, spokesperson for the Democratic Party's Central Election Countermeasures Committee, said in a written briefing that "After two years of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, the people are angry, asking 'Is this a country?' in the face of unprecedented ruthless tyranny and a broken livelihood."
Spokesperson Kang criticized, mentioning the Itaewon tragedy, "They closed their ears to the desperate cries of parents screaming 'Why did my child die?' and, perhaps because winning the general election was urgent, the current state of Korea is a 'livelihood debate' without livelihood and the president focusing only on early voting targeting battleground constituencies."
He continued, "The time has come to show the power and will of the sovereign," appealing, "Show the shameless president who despises the people and ignores their livelihood that the people are the owners of this country."
He also said, "We ask the people to sternly judge the ruling People Power Party, which betrays the sovereign and only looks out for its own interests, and the ruthless Yoon Seok-yeol administration."
Spokesperson Kang added, "If you have not yet voted, please make sure to cast your precious vote at a nearby early voting station," and "The Democratic Party will uphold the people's fervent desire to judge the Yoon Seok-yeol administration revealed through early voting."
