After the Divorce of the Century's Star Couple... Jolie Claims "Pitt Physically Abused Me Multiple Times"

Lawsuit Battle Over Winery Sale
CNN Reports... "Assaults Occurred Even Before the Plane Incident"

The star couple of the century, Angelina Jolie (48) and Brad Pitt (60), who have been engaged in a legal battle for years following their breakup, has seen Jolie make additional allegations related to Pitt's domestic violence, according to U.S. media reports.

On the 5th (local time), CNN and Fox News reported that Jolie's side claimed in court documents submitted the previous day that Pitt had "physically abused Jolie" even before the so-called '2016 airplane incident.'

The airplane incident refers to an event in September 2016 when the two were returning home from a vacation with their six children, during which Pitt reportedly pushed Jolie against the bathroom wall and exhibited violent behavior on the plane.

Jolie's side alleged that Pitt sprayed wine and beer on Jolie and the children and assaulted them on the plane. Pitt denied the allegations, but following this incident, the two began divorce proceedings and legally became strangers in 2019.

Jolie's side stated, "The history of Pitt abusing Jolie began before September 2016," and explained that they did not file related lawsuits against Pitt because they believed "the best way was for Pitt to take responsibility and help the family recover from post-traumatic stress."

Furthermore, Jolie's side claimed that after the divorce, negotiations over winery shares broke down because Pitt insisted on signing a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) that prohibited discussing abuse toward Jolie and the children.

Previously, in 2008, they jointly purchased the winery 'Chateau Miraval' in southern France for $28.4 million (approximately 38.4 billion KRW). After the divorce, Jolie sold her shares in October 2021 to a subsidiary of the Russian Stolichnaya Group.

Pitt opposed this. He filed a lawsuit against Jolie in February 2022, claiming the sale was illegal based on their agreement at the time of marriage that neither party would sell winery shares without the other's consent.

Foreign media reported that the documents Jolie recently submitted to the court were to defend her position against Pitt's damages claim.

Jolie claimed that she initially tried to transfer the winery shares to Pitt, but the deal fell through because Pitt's side excessively demanded a nondisclosure agreement regarding past incidents.

Pitt has not released an official statement regarding this matter. However, foreign media cited a close friend of Pitt who said Pitt's side denied the claims. The friend also asserted that Jolie's recent allegations follow her usual "pattern of behavior." This friend said that whenever Jolie is at a disadvantage in lawsuits, she "consistently brings up misleading, inaccurate, or irrelevant information to divert attention."

Previously, the two also fought over child custody but agreed in 2021 to share custody jointly. Jolie adopted son Maddox from Cambodia, son Pax from Vietnam, and daughter Zahara from Ethiopia with ex-husband Pitt, and they have six children in total, including their biological daughter Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.

CNN reported that Jolie's side said regarding Pitt's civil lawsuit, "Pitt's persistent attempts to control and punish Jolie continue to cause tremendous emotional and financial damage to her and her family," and added, "Jolie earnestly hopes the family will heal and the children will be free from pain and trauma."
