Yang Bu-nam, the Democratic Party candidate for Seo-gu (Eul), Gwangju Metropolitan City, joined forces with the Gwangju Nurses Association of the Korean Nurses Association on the 5th to sign a policy agreement aimed at resolving nursing blind spots.
Attendees included candidate Yang Bu-nam, Kim Sook-jung, president of the Gwangju Nurses Association of the Korean Nurses Association, Park Myung-hee, president of Chosun Nursing University, Ki Jung-sook, auditor of the Gwangju Nurses Association, and Myung Mi-kyung, nursing director of Miraero 21 Hospital.
Through the agreement, they decided to promote the enactment of the 'Nursing Act' through social consensus to ensure the right to health for the public, enabling citizens to receive safe and professional nursing care services from skilled nurses anytime and anywhere.
They also agreed to work together to improve the education system for training excellent nursing personnel and to promote the establishment of a 'Regional Integrated Nursing Center' to secure senior nurses and resolve nursing blind spots in preparation for a super-aged society.
Candidate Yang Bu-nam expressed his gratitude, saying, "Nursing personnel have dedicated themselves to the health of the people of the Republic of Korea for the past 100 years and will continue to fulfill their mission on the front lines as guardians of public health."
He added, "Nurses who devote themselves in medical settings hold a very important position as they communicate closely with patients, so it is the natural duty of the state to take charge from training personnel to placement and improving treatment," emphasizing, "I will enter the National Assembly and work on institutional improvements regarding these matters."
Meanwhile, candidate Yang Bu-nam has been campaigning vigorously every day, appealing, "Let’s make April 10 a day of victory for the people."
Starting with a mobile campaign in Pungam-dong the previous day, followed by a focused rally at Punggeum Intersection attended by about 200 supporters and a joint rally for Seo-gu Gap and Eul districts, on this day he conducted mobile campaigns in Seochang-dong, Geumho-dong, and Sangmu 2-dong, and plans to appeal for support in the Sangmu 2-dong food alley in the evening.
Candidate Yang said, "The Yoon Seok-yeol administration is incompetent, irresponsible, and without measures, bringing only frustration and tragedy to the people," urging, "Please support Yang Bu-nam in this election and judge the Yoon Seok-yeol administration with the power of the voters."
