On the 5th, Chairman Han voted together with Lee Yong-ho, the People Power Party candidate for Seoul Seodaemun-gu Gap, at an early voting station located in Sinchon-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. Kim Ye-ji, Jin Jong-oh, Lim Bo-ra, Jung Hye-rim, Kim Min-jung, Park Jun-tae, Lee Yoon-jung, and Kang Se-won, proportional representatives of the People’s Future Party, also voted at the same location.
After voting, Chairman Han met with reporters and said, "I hope this will be the best early voting ever, showing the great power of good citizens to those who disregard the law and the people," adding, "The Democratic Party of Korea has defended the worst hateful and fraudulent candidates until the end, claiming it would not affect the election outcome."
He said, "I believe that if people do not go to the polling stations, South Korea will collapse," and added, "Everything depends on how many people go out to vote." Furthermore, he stated, "From this election onward, multiple vote counts will be conducted simultaneously without distinction between early voting and main voting," and urged, "Please trust and participate in early voting."
Chairman Han’s early voting at a university area is interpreted as an appeal for support from the 2030 youth demographic. He said, "I believe the future of the country lies with the youth, and I plan to pursue politics that ensure a prosperous life for young people," adding, "In that sense, I chose Sinchon." He also explained, "Unlike in the past, the lives of small business owners in Sinchon have become much more difficult," and promised "many meaningful policies such as various value-added taxes and parental leave for self-employed workers."
Chairman Han revealed that he voted in front of Ewha Womans University to highlight the controversy over Kim Jun-hyuk, the Democratic Party candidate for Suwon City Mayor, regarding his offensive remarks. He said, "There is obviously significance related to (Kim candidate’s offensive remarks). Isn’t he truly the worst hateful candidate ever?" and added, "The Democratic Party continues to defend Kim until the end." He then criticized, "I want to ask the Democratic Party whether they intend to make the thoughts in Kim’s mind the future standard of South Korea."
