Early Voting Mock Test Conducted
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam conducted a final inspection of early voting stations on the 4th, one day before the advance voting day for the 22nd National Assembly election, to ensure smooth voting.
On this day, Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, visited the administrative welfare centers of Ungdong 2-dong, Sanho-dong, and Seokjeon-dong in accordance with the schedule of the early voting simulation test conducted at 55 early voting stations one day before the advance voting. First Deputy Mayor Jang Geum-yong visited the administrative welfare centers of Myeonggok-dong, Bansong-dong, and Yongji-dong to inspect voting equipment and communication networks, and participated in the simulation test to thoroughly check the entire voting process.
In particular, regarding the recent illegal camera installations, a special inspection of illegal devices was conducted, and careful checks were requested on preparations for preventing safety accidents and facilities for the convenience of disabled voters.
The city will operate a voting and counting support situation room from the 5th, when early voting begins, until the 11th, when vote counting is completed, to manage voting and counting situations and respond promptly to various incidents and accidents.
Mayor Hong stated, “Election support work is a statutory duty that must not have any gaps,” and pledged, “We will manage thoroughly until the election is completed to support smooth voting.”
