The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is taking active steps to ensure housing stability for low-experience public officials.
On the 4th, the Office of Education signed a business agreement with the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) at the Suwon Southern Office of Education to support housing stability for low-experience public officials.
According to the agreement, LH will provide long-term rental support for up to 10 years for long-term vacant houses it owns to low-experience public officials who commute long distances due to the burden of housing costs caused by rising housing prices and loan interest rates.

Through this, it is expected to prevent early transfers and public service withdrawal of low-experience public officials, such as newly appointed officials commuting long distances after being assigned to outskirts away from their existing residences, and to establish long-term residential conditions for them, thereby preventing educational disparities between regions caused by the outflow of talented personnel.
The Office of Education will also investigate the supply capacity of LH and demand by city and county to expand housing support in the future.
Im Tae-hee, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Education, said, "Today's business agreement is meaningful in that it aims to help young people who play a very important role in the education field," adding, "Solving the housing problems of young public officials ultimately provides a foundation for delivering quality education to our students."
He continued, "When I spoke with low-experience employees, the biggest difficulty they face is housing issues," and added, "I hope to continue cooperating with LH so that young public officials can focus more on good education without worrying about housing problems."
