Goryeong-gun, 'Happy Our Home' ... Home Repair Talent Donation Activity and Housing Environment Improvement Project Conducted

Choi Bisong Fan Club 'Sonamu Volunteer Group'

The Hope Welfare Support Group of Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk, conducted the ‘Happy Our Home’ project, a house repair talent donation activity for vulnerable households in need of residential environment improvement, on April 4.

About 25 volunteers from the Sonamu Volunteer Group (Choi Bisong Fan Club), Jeongdaunhoe, and the Goryeong-gun Comprehensive Volunteer Center visited the site to carry out residential cleaning, wallpapering, flooring, window, sink, and lighting replacement, resulting in approximately 5 million KRW worth of residential environment improvements. Goryeong-gun supported the material costs through the Happy Sharing Project, and Seongsan-myeon assisted with waste collection and laundry of clothing and bedding.

On this day, the house repair talent donation activity supported an elderly couple living in Seongsan-myeon who had difficulty moving due to senile diseases such as cerebral infarction and were living in an old container without the means to maintain their living environment. Thanks to the support, they are now able to live in a much cleaner and safer environment.

Founded in January 2024, the Sonamu Volunteer Group was formed by people who love singer Choi Bisong, combining fan club activities with a talent donation group that serves the local community.

The Sonamu Volunteer Group stated, “We will not stop at the beginning but strive to become a source of emotional nourishment and warm strength to someone through better volunteer activities and talent donations.”

Jeongdaunhoe said, “We are glad to help neighbors facing real difficulties through talent donations. This volunteer activity was a good opportunity to look back on the marginalized generations around us, and we will continue to carry out more volunteer activities in the future.”
