Prime Minister Han Duck-soo recently addressed the discovery of illegal cameras at planned early voting locations, calling it a "serious issue that could undermine the free exercise of voting rights guaranteed by the Constitution and laws," and instructed relevant ministries to respond strictly.

On the day of early voting for the National Assembly election, May 5-6, Prime Minister Han urged the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ministry of Justice, National Police Agency, and other related ministries to work closely with the Election Commission and do their utmost to support citizens in voting with confidence.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety, local governments, and related agencies will continuously inspect government offices used as early voting and vote counting locations until the end of voting to ensure no illegal activities such as installation of illegal cameras or filming occur.

The National Police Agency will also respond swiftly and strictly upon discovering any illegal activities.
