In particular, it has received the ‘Blue Flag,’ an international certification awarded to eco-friendly beaches, for five consecutive years.

The county aims to strengthen competitiveness as a representative tourist destination by repairing aged tourism facilities and introducing new tourism content through the selection of this contest project.

With a total project cost of 2 billion KRW, including provincial and county funds, the project will install a photo spot with a sea view near the main entrance of Shinji Myeongsasimni, replace safety fences, replace the tourist information board in front of the first parking lot, and install a smart solar LED comprehensive information board.

Night lighting will be installed on the deck road of the Wando Marine Healing Center built in Shinji Myeongsasimni, and a media art show themed ‘Marine Healing’ will be held to provide nighttime attractions and improve tourist satisfaction.

Additionally, a ‘Nature Art Space’ will be created at the Marine Healing Center to offer cultural and artistic experience opportunities to residents and tourists, aiming to revitalize tourism in Shinji Myeongsasimni.

Barrier-free convenience facility signs, braille information boards, braille blocks, and ramps for tourism vulnerable groups will also be maintained.

A county official said, “We will do our best to bring a fresh breeze to Shinji Myeongsasimni tourism centered on the Marine Healing Center by promoting the tourist site regeneration project together with the previously selected Jeonnam-type regional growth strategy project, the ‘Healing-H Project.’”
