'Dojeong Sseunsori' Gyeonggi-do 4th Red Team Launches... Activities Until September

Gyeonggi Province's '4th Red Team' held its first meeting on the 3rd and officially began its activities. The Red Team is tasked with viewing provincial administration from a critical perspective and seeking alternatives.

The 4th Red Team was formed in March through an internal recruitment process, consisting of 10 members: seven employees at grade 5 or below from the provincial office and three practical staff members at deputy director level or below from public institutions.

At the first meeting, the team shared the achievements and shortcomings of the 1st to 3rd Red Teams and discussed future operational plans.

This 4th Red Team plans to focus on external policy agendas to seek alternatives that influence residents and produce results.

Additionally, the Red Team will strengthen follow-up measures through face-to-face and non-face-to-face maturation meetings with relevant departments on agenda items discussed at regular meetings, and will also conduct policy field experiences to generate creative ideas.

The activity period for the 4th Red Team is until September, and the team leader will be selected by the members themselves to facilitate freer discussion and criticism.

The 3rd Red Team, which concluded its activities in February, proposed ▲prohibiting the preparation of weekly work reports ▲improving sudden changes or non-attendance notifications for events and schedules attended by the governor ▲practicing reduction of leftover food in the cafeteria.

A, a public officer from Gyeonggi Province and leader of the 4th Red Team, stated, "Even if criticisms or policy proposals do not align with current laws or ordinances, if they have a positive influence on residents, we will strive to change the system," adding, "We will do our best to ensure the Red Team becomes the center of change in provincial administration."
