Y2Solution Selected for Research Project to Develop Strategies for Strengthening Power Module Competitiveness

Y2Solution announced on the 4th that it has been selected as a partner company in the "Research Project for Strengthening Power Module Competitiveness," hosted by the Korea Environment Corporation and the Korea Testing Certification (KTC).

The research project aims to secure technological competitiveness by supporting quality improvement of power modules, a key component of chargers, to address charging failures that hinder the spread of electric vehicles. Through this project, the reliability and stability of domestically produced power modules will be enhanced to gain a competitive edge over Chinese components, while also exploring ways to revitalize the domestic charger market.

Y2Solution will provide 30kW-class power modules to charger companies for power module demonstration experiments. Through performance evaluations by model, the superiority of domestic power modules compared to Chinese ones will be verified. The project evaluation will begin in the second quarter of this year, conducting electromagnetic wave and durability tests, followed by finished product tests in assembled charger states to assess the safety of domestic power modules.

A Y2Solution representative stated, "Anticipating the rapid growth of the electric vehicle charging industry, Y2Solution has been developing the core component, the power module, since 2018," adding, "We will demonstrate the excellence of our power modules through this research project to promote growth in new business areas."
