The 'Medium-sized Enterprises Young CEO Network' is a learning and exchange platform for next-generation leaders of medium-sized enterprises, launched in 2017 under the leadership of the Federation. It operates various programs such as visits to outstanding domestic and international medium-sized enterprises and capacity-building seminars. This year, while continuing existing programs such as visits to excellent companies and expert invitation seminars, new activity areas will be established, including policy improvement proposals, activation of open innovation between medium-sized enterprises and startups, and expansion of the global network, to enhance the effectiveness of network activities.

Oh Seung-cheol, Director of the Industrial Infrastructure Office at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, said, “We will strengthen policy support such as finance and R&D necessary for medium-sized enterprises with an average business history of over 20 years to discover new growth engines through the entrepreneurship and innovative leadership of next-generation CEOs.”

Lee Ho-jun, Executive Vice Chairman of the Federation, stated, “The fact that many long-established companies with over 100 years of history are concentrated in major advanced countries such as the United States, Germany, and Japan is clear evidence that corporate sustainability and national economic development are inseparable.” He added, “We will reexamine the value of management know-how and entrepreneurship accumulated over decades, expand various capacity-building programs to strengthen the progressive leadership of next-generation leaders, and work closely with the government and the National Assembly to establish a legal and institutional environment that supports corporate sustainability.”
