Specialized Construction Association also 30 million KRW
Gyeongbuk Fundraising Association staff 11.7 million KRW
Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 3rd that the global company Sambo Motors Co., Ltd., the Gyeongsangbuk-do Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, and the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea have donated funds and scholarships to overcome low birth rates.
Sambo Motors, an auto parts company located in Daegu (CEO Lee Jae-ha), donated 20 million KRW for overcoming low birth rates; the Gyeongsangbuk-do Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association (Chairman Lee Jeong-cheol) donated 20 million KRW for overcoming low birth rates and 10 million KRW in scholarships; and executives and employees of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea donated 11.7 million KRW, all delivered to Gyeongbuk Province through the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea.

Starting as Samhyeop Industry in 1977, Sambo Motors has focused solely on manufacturing auto parts for over 40 years and has grown into a global company by beginning exports to Japan, the United States, and other countries in 1999.
Established in 1985, the Gyeongsangbuk-do Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association has 3,733 specialty construction business members and works to promote the specialty construction industry, improve systems, and enhance member welfare.
Lee Jae-ha, CEO of Sambo Motors, said, “I feel rewarded to be able to participate even a little in overcoming Gyeongbuk Province’s low birth rate and the war, and I will seriously consider what role I can play as a businessperson.”
Lee Jeong-cheol, Chairman of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, said, “Low birth rate is a national crisis, and since all citizens must unite to solve this problem, I hope this small contribution will help. I also hope that students can pursue their studies with dreams and hope despite difficult circumstances.”

Jeon Woo-heon, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea, said, “Our executives and employees also want to participate in this national crisis of low birth rates by delivering this donation. I hope our people can unite as one to overcome this crisis.”
Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, said, “I request active participation from companies in expanding parental leave and flexible work systems to create a corporate culture that is good for raising children. The company donations will be used with great care.”
The Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea, as the organizer of the ‘Low Birth Rate Overcoming Fundraising Campaign,’ is collecting donations, and individuals, various organizations, businesspeople, and overseas Koreans have joined the fundraising. Since the campaign began in March, over 1 billion KRW in donations have been received.
