Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun met with public officials who practiced proactive administration and urged them to "continue to carry out proactive administration that citizens can feel."
On the 2nd, Mayor Lee Jae-jun encouraged and spoke with six exemplary proactive public officials, including Jo Kyung-ae, Head of the Low Birthrate Response Team, and Choi Young-hee, Veteran Team Leader of Citizen Hall, in his office.

At the meeting, Mayor Lee said, "On behalf of the citizens, I express my gratitude to the employees who have worked hard for the citizens," and promised, "Employees who work proactively will be properly rewarded and treated well."
On the same day, Mayor Lee held a sign with a phrase encouraging the practice of proactive administration and pledged to carry out proactive administration.
Suwon City previously established the ‘Proactive Administration Implementation Plan,’ consisting of 28 tasks across five areas, and is striving to create a public service culture where proactive administration becomes routine.
The main implementation plans include ▲ fostering a culture of proactive administration led by the Suwon Mayor ▲ preferential treatment and exceptional incentives for public officials promoting proactive administration ▲ establishing a preventive system to eliminate passive administration ▲ promoting proactive administration together with Suwon’s public institutions.
Meanwhile, Suwon City was selected as the best institution by ranking first among basic local governments in the ‘2023 Comprehensive Evaluation of Proactive Administration by Local Governments’ hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
