The Gwangsan-gu Child-Friendly City Creation Committee is a public-private cooperative organization that deliberates and advises on matters related to the basic direction and strategy of child-friendly city policies, as well as the establishment and implementation of basic plans. Chaired by Kim Gisuk, Deputy Mayor of Gwangsan-gu, the committee consists of a total of 13 members, including child-related organizations such as the police station, education support office, child protection agencies, and experts in the child sector.

During the meeting, appointment letters were presented to new members, and active discussions took place, including sharing opinions on ▲ ways to revitalize committee operations ▲ achievements and plans related to Gwangsan-gu’s child-friendly city creation projects.

The Child-Friendly City Creation Committee serves as a communication channel for organic cooperation and exchange between the public and private sectors, supporting the effective and practical implementation of child-friendly policies. In particular, it will take the lead in gathering community capabilities for Gwangsan-gu’s goal of applying for UNICEF Child-Friendly City certification in June.
